I sampled Chef Cat Cora's Olive Oil Cake: Ladi Tourta @TheTalk_CBS
Visiting CBS The Talk is always fun, but it is even better when I visit and there is food involved. On July 18th, one day after my birthday (I just had to fit that in), I was invited to visit The Talk. I was definitely in store for a treat. Chef, Cat Cora was one of the guest. I could not pass up the opportunity to share my experience with you all.
I have visited The Talk several times in over a year and have never had the opportunity to sample the food that was prepared during the show. Not to dismiss the times the hosts of the show have invited me and fellow bloggers for lunch. But, there have been a couple of times I have wondered how does the food taste that a guest, chef has prepared. Well....I was able to find out!
Cat Cora made an Olive Oil Cake:Ladi Tourta...as I watched guest co-host Arsenio Hall, Carnie Wilson along with host Sheryl Underwood and Sara Gilbert taste it, I wondered how did it taste. I had never heard of an olive oil pound cake. Well, as the show was wrapping, I and my friend and fellow blogger Valerie Mitchell were escorted to the stage to meet Cat Cora and guess what????? YES, sample the cake. It was delicious. These were calories worth adding on, considering I have come to realize I have gained some weight, but I could not resist.
Now that I have the recipe Ari and I will have to make it. She has been trying her hand at baking. I am hoping it will look and taste as good as Cat's!!!!
